On July 22nd 2011, The Queen and The Duchess of Cambridge viewed the Duchess’s wedding dress, designed by Sarah Burton, when it went on display as part of the Summer Opening Exhibition at Buckingham Palace in London.

The wedding cake, made by Fiona Cairns and her team, was also on display at the Buckingham Palace Summer Exhibition. The cake is a multi-tiered fruit cake made using the Joseph Lambeth technique.

The Exhibition also featured The Duchess of Cambridge's wedding shoes by Alexander McQueen, and a replica bouquet by Shane Connolly.
