After the couple appeared on the balcony, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge left Buckingham Palace in an Aston Martin DB6, which is owned by William's father, the Prince of Wales. The Prince has owned the car since 1969. The couple drove over to Clarence House.

Later that evening after returning to Buckingham Palace, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge went back to Clarence House for the evening wedding reception given for 300 guests, hosted by The Prince of Wales.

The Duke and Duchess spent their wedding night at Buckingham Palace following the evening reception and left this morning in a helicopter.
The Duke and Duchess won't be taking a honeymoon immediately, it has been announced. Instead, they will spend a quiet weekend together before William returns to work as a search and rescue pilot. A honeymoon will be taken at a later date.
If you didn't catch the wedding yesterday and want to play catch up, see the video below for full coverage of all the days events. It's over 3 1/2 hours worth on one video, so settle in for the evening!
the Duchess of Cambridge exits on the "WRONG" side of the Duke from W.Abbey? Why? A blooper? Can an expert in British etiquette explain to me. Everybody elses weddings have been on the |"correct " RIGHT ARM OF THE GROOM (?)
ReplyDeleteI don't know which side is the correct side to exit the church but I have seen both during Royal Weddings; Diana and Sarah were on the right, Sophie was on the left.
ReplyDeleteI would love an etiquette expert to weigh in also :)
I would love to have been there in person to witness such a piece of history. I looked into 3 days in london to catch it live and it would have run me 3 thousand.
ReplyDeleteAmy, thumbs down on the expense :(
